Recently, I decided to pick up The Mind Reader by R. L. Stine, which was part of the Fear Street series he wrote, and today I'll post my review of the book.
Descriptions from Goodreads
A bony hand beckons from a shallow grave…
But only Ellie Anderson can see the skeletal hand. Ellie has visions—visions of past secrets and future horror. Her visions have led her to the body of a girl who was killed two years before. Now her power may help her find the murderer…unless he finds her first!
My Thoughts on the Book
Fair enough, The Mind Reader is by no means a groundbreaking book, but it's a fun YA horror with a few twists and turns, and a mystery to it that made it a bit engaging. Fear Street-wise it's probably more of an average book, but Ellie was a likeable character.
As The Mind Reader is YA, it's probably more suitable for a 12 year old kid than a woman in her late 30's.
