My Thoughts on the Book
Adam Nevill is a really skilled writer, so I really enjoyed reading this book, especially the descriptions. The plot had a few twists and turns, but the ending was a bit of a letdown for me. Personally, I found it over the top and would have preferred something a bit more toned-down of sorts.
Even though this is more of a plot-driven book than character-driven, there's still several interesting and well-written characters to be found, Kyle included. He had some intelligence to him, and goes through some character development where he gets more and more paranoid the further we get into the story, and he also realises there's worse things than scambling for cash.
Although I was a bit lukewarm when it comes to the ending of the book, Last Days is still a book I can easily recommend people to read.
