Book Tag; Spooky Scary Book Tag

I came across the Spooky Scary Book Tag over atThe Strawberry Post and I decided to do the tag, as it's after all spooky season at the moment.

What Goes Bump in the Night? Name a book that legitimately scared you while reading it
I'm more or less immune to being scared while reading horror novels at this point, but Psycho by Robert Bloch creeped me out a little bit.

Jack-o’-Lanterns & Classic Costumes: A book you always reach for during Halloween time
I rarely re-read books, so I can't really answer this question, but The Woman in Black by Susan Hill is a good one.

Black Cats & Magic Mirrors: A book you love that is laced with superstition and/or magic
I'm going to answer A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness for this one.

Witch’s Brew: Favourite witch character in any book/series
I love the witchy character Lucy from The Vampire Knitting Club series by Nancy Warren. She's by no means the perfect witch, but she's relatable.

Ghouls & Ghosts: A book that still haunts you to this day (good or bad)
The Midwives by Duncan Ralston still haunts me to this day in a good way, even though it also made me grateful I'm childfree by choice.

Haunted Graveyard: You’re all alone in a haunted graveyard; you get one book to give you comfort. Which is it?
I'm weird, but I'll answer Bram Stoker's Dracula, as I love that gothic classic.

The Undead: Favorite supernatural creatures to read about
I do love a good book with vampires, I can't deny that.

In the Dead of Night: Pick a book with a black cover

The Voivod: A Ghost Story by Dominic Selwood is a well-written short story to read for Halloween.

Trick or Treat?
I'd go with treat as it's nicer.
